CEEDS Summer Teaching Programmes in China/Cambridge

Still haven’t had a plan for this summer yet? Why not join our fantastic teaching programmes to get in touch with China? CEEDS Teaching internship programmes covers cultural rich cities in the Southeast region of China. We are also hiring student tutors in Cambridge to help us look after Chinese visiting students and give some English/subject classes. Participants will benefit from competitive stipend plus the opportunity to travel and have lots of fun.

Hangzhou Normal University started as Zhejiang Official Dual-Level Normal School in 1908. It was renamed Zhejiang Provincial First Normal School in 1913. In times of upheaval, the university set changes in motion and emerged as Zhejiang’s pioneer in democracy and science. In 1978, Hangzhou Teachers College was formed on the basis of Hangzhou Normal School. At the turn of the 21st century, multiple institutions were successively combined with Hangzhou Teachers College. 2007 marked the birth of the new Hangzhou Teachers College, officially today’s Hangzhou Normal University. CEEDS China Visiting Trip During Easter Holiday

During 2011 Easter Holiday, CEEDS organised an educational visiting trip to China and visited our collaborating schools and universities across several cities and regions in China, including Chengdu, Suzhou, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Ningbo and Yichang. Our visiting group consists of 5 Cambridge students and alumni. We shard our living and study experience with the students we visited, had pleasant chat with them over dinner and on other occasions, and also had some of the most amazing experiences in China. The opening of CHiEF (CEED Higher Education Forum) has been formally announced on November 27th in Newnham College of Cambridge University. CEEDS was greatly pleased to have President ZHANG Jie of Shanghai Jiaotong University (SJTU) as its kickoff speaker. Right after a long flight journey from China, President Zhang arrived at Newnham College and delivered a talk to Cambridge students and scholars on the recent development of higher education in China and SJTU in particular.
